My recent stay at Monterio was overall a great experience, especially thanks to the friendly and attentive staff. The location is lovely since it's nestled in greenery and close to Baga beach, making it ideal for beach lovers. However, I found the rooms could definitely use some updates in terms of furniture and amenities. Overall, while there were some downsides, I left feeling pretty satisfied with my time there.
Rooms

The rooms definitely need a refresh; the furniture feels dated and hasn't been touched for around 20 years.
Service

The staff was amazing and really attentive. Mr. Sohan Rodriguez went above and beyond to help me when I needed medicine, making me feel right at home.

Being situated in thick greenery and just a hop away from Baga beach was awesome. It felt peaceful despite the crowds.
Dining

I enjoyed the local vegetables served, and the kitchen was quick to accommodate my dietary restrictions without any hassle.
Facilities

While there are several pools, they were a bit crowded, especially with many families staying there during the Monsoon season.

I had a mixed experience at Monterio in Baga. The location is lovely, surrounded by greenery and close to the beach, but the resort could use some serious management overhaul. While the staff was generally warm and friendly, I found the service to be inconsistent, especially with transportation options around the hill. The units felt dated, and it was a bit challenging navigating the hotel due to the steep gradients. 🌴😕
Rooms

The apartments had a nice design and were well-equipped, but the furniture definitely felt outdated, resembling styles from over 20 years ago. I think it really needs an update to improve overall comfort.
Service
5.0
The staff were generally friendly and eager to help, but I felt the responsiveness varied. For instance, there was often a long wait for the van service that’s supposed to make getting around easier.

I loved the hillside setting of Monterio, as it offered beautiful views and was nestled in thick greenery. Plus, being close to Baga beach is a huge plus for beach lovers like me!
Dining

The on-site restaurant had delicious food, and I appreciated the availability of regional products, making meals a highlight of my stay.
Facilities

The hotel had good upkeep with flower gardens and swimming pools, yet the limited activities offered made the stay feel a bit dull after a few days. Improvement in the room service menu would help too.

My stay at Monte-Rio was quite pleasant, with beautiful surroundings and a great location near Baga Beach. though the room service was a bit slow and the furniture in the rooms could really use an update.

I stayed in a spacious 2BHK apartment, but the furniture felt outdated and didn't match the expected modern amenities.
Service

The staff were friendly and courteous, particularly Vasant, but often took longer than expected to fulfill requests.

The resort is nestled in thick greenery on a hill, providing a peaceful escape while still being just a short walk from the lively Baga beach.

While I didn't indulge in dining much, the hotel's restaurant seemed conveniently located, offering a variety of poultry dishes.

Overall, my stay at Monterio in Baga was quite pleasant. The location is fantastic, nestled in thick greenery and just a short 10-minute walk to the beach. However, I noticed the furniture in my room was pretty dated and could use a refresh. While the service was friendly and accommodating, especially with my early check-in thanks to Savio, I found the room service a bit slow.
Rooms

The furniture definitely showed signs of wear and tear, which was a letdown for a place that's supposed to be luxurious.
Service

The staff were warm and friendly. Savio was especially great, helping me check in early which was a big plus.

Monterio's location is ideal, surrounded by lush greenery and only a short walk from Baga Beach. It's a peaceful spot that's close to everything I wanted.

My stay at Monterio was quite mixed. I appreciated the friendly reception staff and enjoyed the taste of the food, but I was disappointed by the outdated room and limited housekeeping service. The noise disturbances at night were particularly bothersome. Overall, it didn't meet my expectations for the promised quality of stay.
Rooms

The room felt old and in need of an update. with furniture that seemed dated by 20 years. The bed was noisy and the air conditioning was disruptive. There was also no exhaust fan in the bathroom, which made the room uncomfortably moist.
Service
5.0
The reception staff were friendly. but food service was notably slow, as I only saw one or two attendants in the restaurant at any time. Housekeeping changed towels every other day and only changed bed sheets every two days.
Location

Situated in a beautiful area beside the restaurant, Monterio is close to Baga beach. which is great for enjoying the coastal vibe. The greenery surrounding the hotel adds to its charm.
Dining
5.0
While the taste of food was decent, I was surprised by the absence of a buffet breakfast. and the overall dining experience could have been improved with more attentive service.
Facilities
5.0
The facilities seemed a bit limited. and although there were some activities for kids, I felt they were scaled down. The restaurant clearly needs improvements to match expectations.
